Layered geometry from a Mesh
Archicad Mesh elements are useful for modelling complex terrain and other irregular surfaces, but they cannot use composite structures.
Layered Mesh creates layered geometry from an existing Mesh, allowing complex forms to be represented with multiple construction layers.
The current implementation is a working public beta for testing and feedback.

Complex form with construction layers
Layered construction is available across many native Archicad elements, but not the Mesh tool.
This becomes limiting where complex or sloping geometry needs to represent actual construction build-ups rather than a single material.
Layered Mesh explores a practical way to fill that gap without rebuilding the geometry using other element types.
Current support and limits
- Archicad 27 through 29.
- Windows.
- Layered geometry generated from Archicad Mesh elements.
- Complex and curved Mesh geometry.
The current beta expires at the end of September 2026. macOS support is not currently available.
Prototype in testing
Layered Mesh is a prototype currently being tested with Archicad users. Feedback from the beta will inform further development.
